The Foreign Press Center “Future Energy” Media Co-Op which I produced last month in collaboration with journalist Rauhan Tugumbayeva and cameraman Alisher Dossov has broadcast on Khabar24! Rauhan interviews John Huffaker, the VP of Commercial Operations at OCI Solar Power at OCI’s Alamo1 solar farm and Dr. Brian Korgel, the Director of the Center for Next Generation Photovoltaics at the University of Texas, Austin. This series will air in weekly segments in Kazakhstan leading up to Expo-2017.
This fall I served as a Foreign Press Center Field Producer, traveling with Jakarta based journalists Iqbal Himawan and Adwin Kurniawan from MetroTV. We covered American anti-corruption policies that Indonesian local governments may consider while combatting corruption.
Today Iqbal discussed our reporting as part of a panel discussion in Jakarta.
I just completed field production for a terrific reporting tour with journalists from Khabar24 news in Kazahstan. We toured Sacramento, Davis, and Berkeley, California and Austin and San Antonio, Texas. Not only did we succeed in getting compelling interviews about the robust renewable energy industries in California and Texas but we received a warm welcome at every stop. Khabar24‘s energy coverage will lead up to the World Expo 2017 in Astana. The reporting trip is a partnership between the Foreign Press Center at the US State Department, the US Embassy in Astana, and Khabar24.
